    Re: Europa League-Thread

The first half was one of the best Werder teamplay-performances I've ever seen. Great combinations, rocksolid defense and nice individual moments. It seems like every move just went perfectly right. 2 very nice goals (Hunt, Naldo). Özil had a big chance to score the third goal, but Bilbaos keeper wasn't bad.
But then - it wouldn't be a real Werder game if they just played it cool - something always has to happen.
This time it was Peter Niemeyer's turn, who came into the match after 60 minutes, just to leave it again 4 minutes later, after two very stupid "one step too late"-fouls and 2 yellow cards
Bilbao started pushing hard so the remaining 30 minutes brought every fan close to heart attacks. But the team fought well and even while Bilbao scored in the 91", Frings managed to score a penalty in the 94" so we won 3:1

But that's one thing we all love about Werder - almost every match is entertaining.

Thanks for the detail as I wasn't able to see it on tv.

Caesar = Kaiser, so only works for Kaiserslautern.

Wienerschnitzel could have worked, if I knew where to find it. But they won anyway.

Wow, the Werder game is actually on TV Thursday. I have to remember to record it on my DVR.

    Re: Europa League-Thread

I was going to do laundry during the game today, but I can't because I have to wear my Fritz shirt, and I was planning to stick that in the wash. So I'll do my laundry tomorrow?

Eww, my shirts somehow collect stains of many styles. Cucumber and yogurt sauce, tomato sauce, chocolate.

My mother washed my scarves (is that right?!). And what happens? Werder won 4:1

    Yes, that's the right word.

I still haven't washed my shirt so I think I'm going to have to just wet it and hang it in the shower.

    Re: Europa League-Thread

It was nice to see them play so many reserves yet still come out with a solid victory!

I thought they would have played more reserves, actually.
