Re: The world says 'hello' - Who are you and where are you from?
Hi everybody! You have a nice Werder-forum here! I`m from Belarus (Weissrussland), from capital city Minsk :) You should know, that there are a lot of Werderfans in Eastern Europe - only in MInks we have about 20 people, that are passionate of Werder! Last autumn we have registered our fanclub by Werder - its name is Green White Spirit! You can also visit our website (but unfortunatly it is for the moment only in russian language, but i`m working on english and german versions of it..) - Green White Spirit - WFC in Belarus
Gruen-Weisse Gruesse an alle!

Hi Naramulka, greetings to Belarus!
There are about 20 friend of Werder and a fanclub as well in Minsk? :wow:
How did you (and the others) learn Werder, why do you like especially this small club in far Germany?

Oh, I think, there are a lot of very good reasons, aren't there? ;)
If you need help with the german version, like correction of orthography mistakes, let it us know. It would be a great pleasure.
Your site looks great, by the way :top:

:) In the last 3 years we did(there was 3 people including me at first in Minsk, which have known each other and were Werder-fans) a great work about finding people with the same interest as we - love to Werder. And frankly speaking it wasn`t very hard to find them - Werder is the second german club in Belarus, which has a lot of sympathizer.
As we found out somebody in our fanclub is fan of Werder already a lot of time - since Thomas Schaaf became the couch. But there are also people who became fans since the glory double-year 2004.
I became a fan of Werder in the year 2006 - after the world championship in Germany (i`m fan of the german national team since 2002 by the way) - and one day that sommer I saw a friendly game of Werder with some team (I don`t remember which one) and it was love at first sight :) in winter 2007 I visited the Bundesliga game Stuttgart-Werder ( Stuttgart won, unfortunatly 4:1..), than this year I was the first time in Bremen (Werder - Bayern) and by DFB-Cup in Wolfsburg - it was great time and pity that I couldn`t stay longer.
In Minsk we have one sportbar, where my best friend shows to our fanclub almost every game of Werder (if there is a stream in internet or satellite channels)

Yeah, you`re right, there are many reasons to love Werder ;) Thanks for the compliments to our site - if I need help with correction of mistakes - I let you know :) But I hope, there won`t be many of them, I`ve finished linguistic university last year (interpreter department - german and english), so I hope I didn`t forget in one year all my german knowledge.

But it's really nice, that at least 20 people have an excellent taste :)
Now we know, where we have to go to, when we go to Belarus ;)
The DFB-Cup-game was well chosen by you - was a great game in this season, hopefully next season there will be more games like this game and Werder will compete for the championship like the years before...

Re: The world says 'hello' - Who are you and where are you from?
Hello, My name is Sean but I am known as tattooedsean for obvious reasons. :top:
I am living in Chandler, Arizona. I grew up in Michigan though up till I graduated from high school and entered the army at 17 back in late 80's.
I am a relatively new fan to Werder Bremen. I enjoy their attractive style of football. The city sounds very interesting which is a big thing as I try to visit Europe once a year. I lived in Germany for 3 years in late 80's/early 90's but I lived farther south in Wertheim. I look forward to visiting Bremen.
Is it true that we have beat Chelsea in past tournaments as if so, there is nothing wrong with a club who beats Chelski. :muddi:
I really look forward to talking to each and every one of you. Please don't hold it against me that I might be the only one at the matches that doesn't drink beer anymore. crazy

I've been to Phoenix once back in the days. Something like the most depressing city I've ever seen.

Re: The world says 'hello' - Who are you and where are you from?
Phoenix is actually an okay city. I live about 25 minute drive southeast of it. I like that within 2 hour drive I can be in the northern mountains, 1 hour south and I would be in the desert, and 5 1/2 hour drive out west and I would be at the ocean near San Diego.
there are far more depressing cities in the world.

Sean, you have never been to a Werder match? :frage: Well, hopefully you do spend your next holidays somewhere in Europe and will be able to attend one of the next season games. Just tell us whenever you decide to come over and we let you know the next game where our team is going to score 5 goals :D

Nope, I have never been to a Werder Bremen match even back in the 3 years I was living there while in the military back in early 90's. I definitely will fix that problem on many future trips over that include Germany as part of the trip. :schal: I will have to relearn my German so I can sing along.
