Okay, Dortmund is an obvious choice because they have sooooo many fans and such a big arena. We could use a bigger stadium, too

How big is Werder bremen's stadium?


Both squads aren't obvious choices from someone who lives overseas and hasn't been able to keep up with the Bundelsiga as much as he would have liked for the last 8 years. Fox Soccer Channel used to televise the BL but there is really not alot of it showed over here.


Is it possible to buy Werder Bremen tickets online and how long before the matches do they become available? Which matches are impossible to find tickets for?

actually you can't compare werder and bvb, because dortmund is in the ruhr area, which is like the largest metropolitan area in germany, and because of that has the largest fanbase of them all. bremen in comparison is rather smallish, and the area around is not so populated.

dortmunds stadium can host 80 000 people, and they have the highest attendance in europe. bremens stadium is always sold out - but it's only half the size of that in dortmund!

also i heard many times that the bremen fans are rather quiet. that might be because of the northern german temperament, which is said to be rather reserved. in the away-matches however our supporters always make a good fuss. (on the other hand again, bvb's away support is unbeatable in numbers...)

but in terms of the quality of soccer played and friendliness of the fans bremen is the best choice of course

First off, I apologize for going off topic in this thread as I should make a separate thread as this this is intended to be a hello thread.

That said, I wasn't comparing the two except that from someone that is still learning both cities and teams as they are the 2 that most made him curious as this was the first year I have been able to watch the Bundesliga each week thanks to finally having cable tv, I was just saying that both squads fan base sounds enthusiastic over the tv at least.

Obviously, I haven't been to a BL match. I want to of course. It appears that it will be tough though if Bremen matches are always sold out though. confused

because of new regulations because of issues like fire prevention security issues and so on the cpacity gets reevaluated about every year and changes slightly, because of the renovation it might change for the next Season anyway, but it is expeced to stay around the same amount of seats when its done. I just thought it might be interesting for you to see this flash animation that is supposed to show how it will look when its done. It also lets you get a n impression of the area the Weserstadion is build in.

Yeah, next to Brest, presily next to Lorient oder Vannes.
